It’s been a fun, busy, exciting and interesting few weeks lately here at Montebello. We had a fantastic Memorial Day Weekend, and stayed busy through the month of June. What a July 4’th holiday it was!
Montebello teamed up with Camp Blue Ridge for a good fireworks show. We (Montebello), provided the fireworks, and Camp Blue Ridge hosted the event with refreshments, a place for the kids to play, and music. Montebello also provided a hay wagon shuttle that brought our campers back and forth to the event from the campground. Everyone enjoyed themselves!
We have gotten a lot of new products in lately, some very nice giftware such as picture frames, knick knacks, bear items, and lots of great T-shirts and jackets and hoodies. And some really really pretty jewelry too. We also have a real old fashioned candy counter, with all kinds of both modern, and old timey candy. Believe me when I say, there really is something for everyone here!
Our trout pond stays busy, and our horseback riding stays booked- so if you are interested in getting a horseback riding lesson, or if you already know how to ride and want a fantastic guided trail ride through the mountains, make sure you call and reserve early- that’s the best way to insure you won’t miss out on a chance to go. You can also stop by the country store and make a reservation as well.

We’re only 3 ½ to 4 miles from Crabtree falls, and there are several trail heads for the Appalachian trail very close to us. You can stay at one of the cabins or a camp site, and do one of the hikes, maybe the Priest, or spy rock, then come back and relax and enjoy yourself. This really is an awesome place to do that.
